From the office Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004 The smell of here takes me back to Cathy Coughlin's house where I first experienced the PC and Myers Hall where I first experienced really fast Internet and something else. The screen saver on my laptop just came on. I know because I hear a spooky organ and a creaking door opening. I'm really getting used to typing on the laptop and think I'd like to own one in the future. It's so portable and is just as powerful as my clunky desk computer. I really like working here. I wish the bathroom were more private, since you can hear people walking by a lot, and I wish the water fountain were closer, since I like to take a big slurp often. I wish there were a bigger window in the office. The window is a weird oval in the corner about the size of my torso. I don't feel very free massively using the Internet here like I'd prefer. I only really do it when I'm alone. Overall, this job is very good. My first paycheck is going to be fat, and it's only for 4 days rather than the 6 days I'll normally work every 2 weeks. Superb! |
