One before, one after

Giant sloth
Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004
The skeleton of the giant sloth sinking into a tar pit in the lobby of the Science Library always helps me when I am walking by stuck on a problem.

Yesterday, a guy jumped down the wall by my window and walked by the pizza place swinging a white nunchuck. He was pretty good but dropped it like 20 feet at one point. Three police cars were blocking the entrance to the apartment building today, because they were looking for a guy weilding a samurai sword.

Lately, I have been trying to see if the universe is not a mistake, and that how this is somehow a good or at least funny thing. I have found the ultimate entertainment in this thought. I have been leaning towards the decision that all good music begins with a mistake, also, and wonder if they are related.

It is fun to sit here and think without typing anything.

In other news, I got some colored cellophane (yellow, cyan, magenta) and plan to make some light filters with it upon my arrival home.
