Many entries and many writers per page, like a page of a newspaper.

I'll post anything to a LJ entry: pictures, links, it's like a bulletin board, more functional than aesthetic. It becomes it's own aesthetic anyway though.

To keep the entry distinct from the template (previous entry, next entry, guestbook) links, I tend to make entries pure text, like a Notepade .txt file, and not post pictures or links, or if links, just one or two.
