From a dark room Wednesday, Jun. 01, 2005 Helping a Slavic man to get to the Physics building via the secret staircase through the woods covered in smashed blackberries was rewarding. He said "Sometimes it's good to ask people, especially the right people!" While going to the 2nd floor via elevator, I had many unprofessional encounters with much more professional people in the building. I wore a ratty outfit to walk to work in the rain and brought a somewhat better (and drier) outfit in a bag, so I was looking pretty shabby with my wet homemade haircut gone wild (with matching wily beard), large t-shirt, and bad posture. It doesn't matter so much, but it's annoying to encounter someone almost dressed in a suit to look you up and down. Time to consume an old sandwich and get to work! |
