One before, one after

Reel-to-reel
Tuesday, Mar. 29, 2005
I got a TEAC A-2300S 2-track reel-to-reel
at Habitat for $5 a couple hours ago. I don't have an ungrounded power plug or tape for it, but I can get tape at Radio Shack probably still and the plug from almost anywhere.
Here's some interesting things I found about it on the Internet.

"It might be useful for mixing down to, but being that old the heads are probably worn."

"one more thing; you could make a loop of tape and rig it up as a tape echo unit."

All motors and servos in 100% working condition

TEAC A-2300S, 7 inch reel to reel 1/4 inch tape analog stereo
tape deck.

It is the TEAC model with mahogony wooden sides, three motors, dual VU
meters, two speeds, front panel jacks and more. Several tapes are
included. Very good condition. Looks good too!

Asking $125. Pickup in Mequon. Saw similar one on eBay for $325.

Not like I'm into ripping off Habitat, but I wonder if this works, and I only got it for 5 dollars.
