Heavenly typewriter Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004 I have been agonizing in bed all morning thinking about how I won't have any work next week since the Survey Research Center is closing for fall break, and then, I got a call from the public library saying they would like to interview me Monday for the Library Computer Specialist position! Thank you Cathy for sending me the info on that one! I am so obsessed with Apple Pie a la mode now, that I would even go so far as to name the major band I would play in that. For now, it's the working title of Cosmic Disciple II, because the feeling I get from eating it is the feeling it is representing, and that represents the other feeling I'm feeling. I've noticed I like words where a letter occurs twice in a row like in apple, bedroom, or marshmellow. That and some other things are the key to my written vocabulary. I've been pretty frustrated lately, not doing much work for my projects, but I get the feeling that everything will start flowing smoothly once I have a steady paycheck and am steadily progressing into the greatest riches. Star Trek marathon comes on in fifteen minutes. Wow, it is really grey outside. Also, last night I came across the analogy that Mario Paint is to VHS as typewriter is to writing on paper. Not so dead on but elucidating none the less. I can't wait until I get my typewriter. Even a printer for my computer would solve some of those woes. |
