Here is an informative review of the AK-900. Whittier Electronics has expensive kits, but their clear walkman kit looks cool. It looks like Homeschool Suppy wins out with list price, but I wonder if the shipping would be the same for all of them. Pololu has free shipping, for example. Here is a pdf I found of the circuit board.
